Measles Outbreak at the Happiest Place on Earth
In December, 40 people caught a highly contagious disease, the MEASLES. The disease has now spread to at least 6 other states due to the people who contracted the disease at Disneyland. Measles is a highly contagious respiratory disease that starts by a virus. People can become infectious when an infected person sneezes or coughs. The virus is shot in the air and other people breathe the virus in. The early symptoms is: runny nose, fever, red eyes, cough, and sore throat. Later on, rashes will appear and spread all over the body. To prevent getting the measles, get the vaccination for this disease.
